Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Fred Jensen. Beloved mother of Alfred (Elva), Sandra, and Richard (Lynne) all of Blind River. Dear daughter of the late Harry & Sophie Miron. Beloved grandmother of Janice MacQuarrie (Ron) of Rochester Hills, NY, Steven Jensen of Sault Ste. Marie, Tammy Sweet (Mike) of Sudbury, Daniel DuBois of Blind River, Marc DuBois (Ashley), and Tanya DuBois (Daniel Calisi) all of Sudbury. Adored great grandmother of David and Heather MacQuarrie, Samuel Sweet, Brandon Roy-DuBois, Drake and Rylan DuBois, Paige, Philip and Patrick Bélanger, and Grayson DuBois. Dear sister of Beatrice Lamour (Jens), Xavier Miron (Diane) of Sault Ste. Marie, Françes St. Pierre (late husband Don), Clara Jacques (late husband Isadore), Rudy Miron (Maxine), Carole Giguère (Norm), Freddy Miron (Hélène) all of Blind River, and the late Romain Cyr (Marie), Clarence Miron (Betty Anne), Alice Bernier (Raymond), Blanche St. Pierre (Fred), Teddy Miron (Gloria), and Harry Miron. Dear sister-in-law to Jensena Coones (late husband Max) of Peterborough, and the late Ivan Jensen, Pete Jensen, Franz Jensen, Toby Jensen, Jens Jensen, William Jensen, Jelmer Jensen, Isaac Jensen, Heise(aka Harda) Jensen, Stena Bouchard, Anna Bordeleau, Tena Leslie, Meta Leslie, and Clara Abernot. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful, compassionate and dedicated caregivers on the 5th Floor, South Tower, of the Ramsay Lake Health Center in Sudbury and to the Blind River and Sudbury Bayshore Nurses and Red Cross PSWs. A special thank you to Sudbury Bayshore Nurse Aline Poisson for her endless support and compassion during mom’s final days at home. Friends and family may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River (705-356-1751)on Saturday, January 11th, 2014 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. James the Greater Church with Reverend Jackson Arul officiating. Lunch will be served from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Seniors Center on Michigan Avenue immediately after the service.
