HAMMOND, John Edward
August 8th 1944- March 15th 2014

It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of John Edward Hammond on March 15th 2014 in his 70th year.

Beloved father of Greg (Guylaine), Susan (Jim), James, John Anthony, Joanna, Lovana, Ian and Joel. Beloved grandfather to Andréa, Sophia, Natasha, Charlotte and Hailey. Dear son of the late John Arthur Hammond and Sadie McDonald. Survived by his dear sisters Laura Metcalfe and June Wedd and predeceased by brother Earl. Loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Best friend to his “sweetheart” and loyal companion Dolly.

John will be deeply missed by all his friends and family in Blind River, Ottawa and Jamaica.

Family and friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Saturday March 22nd. 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at the Blind River Curling Club. A memorial service for John will also be held next week in Ottawa at a time yet to be determined.
