On Monday January 11, 2016, Evald peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour. Loving husband of Katherine Carlson (Thelma predeceased). Dear father of Phillip (Rebecca), Peter, Robert (Tammy), Donna Maurice (Ron) and Mark predeceased. Special Step Father to, Keith Metzger (Irene), Ken Metzger (Sophie), Karen Atkinson (Dave) and Kathy Campea (Bruno). Precious Grandpa to Daniel, Timothy, Jonathan, Joshua, Derek, Weston, Kelsey, Alexys, Aysia, Stephen, Michelle, Philip, Joseph, Edward, Martin, John, Nicholas, Jonathan, Teresa, Joseph and Giancarlo. Proud Great Grandpa of Maxwell, Charlie, Finlay, Ian, and Isaac. Dear son the late John Emil and Aina Carlson. Dear brother of Edwin Carlson (Mary) both predeceased, Gladys Carlson predeceased, Ernest Carlson predeceased (Eleanor), Rose Tulloch predeceased (Sam predeceased), Lillian Haug (Carl predeceased), Irene Allen predeceased (Leonard predeceased), Gloria Hurtubise (Horace), Eddie Carlson predeceased, Elmer Carlson (Maureen) (Rosaline predeceased), and Elina Bouchard. Evald will be missed by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Metzger family. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Calvary Gospel Church, Blind River on Tuesday January 19, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Wednesday January 20, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of service in the church at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the The Gideons, the Alzheimer’s society and Calvary Gospel Church gratefully accepted. A special thank you to Katherine for her care and compassion that she has provided Dad particularly throughout these last few years.
