Grignard-Rupp, Shirley Gertrude
April 26, 1939 – January 11, 2017
With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, nana, aunt and friend with family and close friend by her side. Shirley Grignard in her 78th year wife and best friend of Allen Rupp for 23 years. Loving mother of Nicole Grignard, Monique Grignard, Danielle Melmoth (Chris) and Paul Grignard (Tina). Special Nana to Jordan Grignard, Bradley Grignard, Thomas Grignard and Creegan Melmoth. Step-mother to Scott Rupp (Jacquie), John Rupp ( Blanca ), Matt Rupp and Mike Rupp. Dear sister of Mary Morris (late Wes) and the late Muriel, Lilian, Charles and MacLean. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley lived with pride and courage having adopted a multi-racial family. She will be remembered for her love of ballroom dancing. Her husband Allen attests that she was the best darn cook in Blind River. Shirley loved hosting parties for her friends especially at Rupp Bay on Lake Lauzon. She was privileged to have had many close friends and accomplished great things with her lifelong friend Bev. Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home 72 Lakeside Avenue Blind River on Saturday January 14, 2017 from 7 to 9pm. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Riverside Tavern 55 Woodward Avenue Blind River on Monday January 16, 2017 from 4 to 8pm. If desired, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society (Rheumatoid).
