Alessandrina "Sandra" Visaggio (Coccaro)
Visaggio, Alessandrina (Sandra)
On November 30th, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Sandra Visaggio’s family said sweet and gentle goodbyes to a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Sandra was born in Italy and came to Canada in 1953 to marry her sweetheart Carlo Visaggio. Together, they started a family and business, Carlo’s Restaurant. Predeceased by sister Maria DiMarzio. Survived by her brother Sandro (late Pina), and Gina Pizzuto (Ciccio). She was the proud matriarch of her family, including children, Gulianna Walker (Ron), Rosa Visaggio (Sal), and Aldo Visaggio (Sandy). Grandchildren, Amanda Ayotte (Denis), Ashley Young (Spencer), Carly, Nicki, and Devon. Four Great Grandchildren Ashton, Anisten, Emerson, and Felix. Many loving nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Will be missed by many friends. Special thank you to her PSW’s care, the nurses on 5th floor Sudbury Cardiac unit Kathryn, Sarah, and Marianne.
She was a sweet, gentle and kind person who was an avid gardener, artist and seamstress, and enjoyed her daily walks in the neighbourhood. Teacher of her famous recipes to anyone who would ask. The amazing food that she served in her restaurant is famous to all who knew her. Sandra will leave a lasting legacy in Blind River for her kindness, empathy and outgoing nature.
If desired, the family appreciates donations to St. James the Greater Parish, Blind River, ON.
