Aunt Ella was 28. Rainer was 2. I was 6. It was 1957. Having just immigrated from Germany they lived with my mom, her sister Rosa, my dad and me in Dogpatch for a year. And I got to know and love my new relatives. Over the past 61 years I have seen my Aunt Ella's family grow to 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. What a loving family. What great memories. I miss you Aunt Ella.
