Shirley was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Blue Jay fan. She loved her scratch tickets and enjoyed caring for her flowers. She was always there for her family and friends. She had a big heart, putting others before herself until the very end. She was a special lady to many and her smile could light up a room. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. Until we meet again, we take comfort in knowing she is watching over her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and the doctors for their amazing care. Their kindness and compassion towards Shirley was outstanding and very much appreciated by her daughters.
If desired, the family gratefully appreciates and accepts donations in Shirley Knox’s memory to North Shore Health Network Foundation, Blind River Site.
A memorial service will be held at Menard Funeral Home (72 Lakeside Ave) Blind River, on Saturday, August 25, 2018 starting at 1pm with service to begin at 2pm. Father Ignatius Xavier officiating. Following the service, the family invites you to join them at Shirley’s home for a come and go luncheon and time of sharing. Cremation has taken place, burial to follow at a later date.
