Peacefully, with her family by her side at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Monday April 28, 2014. Laurette Fortin of Blind River in her 71st year, beloved wife of Justin Fortin for 55 years. Loving mother of Yvon, Michel, Joanne Mattaini ( Rae ), Rejan ( Jennifer ), Claude ( Diane ) and Yvonne ( Tom ). Special Mémé to Michael Jr., Daniel, Kassandra, Justin, Patrick, Faith, Curtis, Carla, Brandon, Claudia, Sonya, Emily and Aleah and to great granddaughter Skylah. Dear daughter of the late Jeannette and Edmond Nadon. Dear sister of Aline, Bertha and Annette and predeceased by her brothers Maurice and Arthur. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Joseph and Yvonne Fortin. Dear sister-in-law of Roger and Gaetan and the late Pierre, Leonidas, Yvon, Jean Louis , Gilles, Fleurette. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Friday May 2, 2014 from 10am to 11am and 1 to 3pm. At Laurette’s request there will be no service. Inurnment in the niche wall at Hillside Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully accepted.
