Obituary for Donald Robert Lees

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Lees Sr., on February 3rd, 2018 at age 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Barbara. Loving father of Don Jr. (Heidi) and Margie (Gord). Beloved grandfather of Ana, Brock and Christopher (Trisha). Will be greatly missed by his 6 great grandchildren Conner, C.J., Ryder, Parker, Nickolaus and Caroline. Loving brother to Shirley Cranston (Mike). Predeceased by parents Gordon and Elizabeth Lees, brothers Gordon and Malcolm, and sister Marilyn.

Proud founder of Milltown Motors Ltd., Blind River and loyal GM dealer for over 55 years. Don was very active in the community serving as Chairman for both the Blind River Hospital Board and the Huron Pines Golf Course. He was also appointed as Justice of the Peace for Blind River and was Master of the Masonic Lodge. Don was also an avid curler and golfer.

Family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all staff of the North Shore Health Network, Blind River for their kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank all our friends for their love and support.

If desired the family gratefully appreciates donations to North Shore Health Network Foundation, Blind River Site.
The family invites you to join them for a memorial service at the Blind River Community Centre at 2pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 with a Celebration of Don’s life and light luncheon to follow until 4pm.
Members of the Masonic Order are requested to assemble at The Blind River Community Centre on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1:30pm for a memorial service for their Late Brother Donald Lees.
