Obituary for Ricky Grant Robert Kevin Morningstar

MORNINGSTAR, Ricky
July 8, 1969 – August 2, 2019
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Ricky at the age of 50. Loving father of Brooke (Courtney) and Justice. Soul mate of Kim. He joins his grandfather Ernest (Julia) and his mother Dianne Boyer. Survived by his siblings Cheryl, Anita, Natalie, Olivia, Sharon, May-Ann, Roxane, Sheila and Byron. He leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves his best friend Buddy, “Ole Yeller” who will forever miss his butt rubs.
Ricky was an involved and proud father who adored his daughters and took every opportunity to brag about his girls’ accomplishments. A fierce protector of his family where he assumed the role of patriarch. He loved spending time with them… they were his life. He enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his snowmachine. He always had a smile and loved to joke around. He cared deeply about others and was willing to help those around him. Ricky was well known for his charm and charisma making friends where ever he went. We will forever miss his laughter, his hugs and his larger than life personality.
The family wishes to thank their friends and families, near and far for their support during this heart-breaking time.
Friends and family are invited to visit at the Mississauga First Nation Sports Complex, 64 Park Road, on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 7pm until time of ceremony on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 11am. After Ricky’s celebration of life, everyone is welcome to join the family for a feast. Cremation following funeral services.
