Janet and Cleve O'Malley
Betty was a relative and close friend of our family....I remember when I stayed with my Grandmother in Thessalon, I would come home from school to find Betty and Grandma chopping wood in the backyard. She was amazing! In recent years, up until my Mom went to the Manor; Betty would pay at least an annual visit to my Mom. Together they would spend the day going for lunch and visiting all the graveyards where relatives and friends were buried. Mom adored Betty! We all did! After Mom went to the Manor, Betty was there as a volunteer every few days. We missed her these last several weeks when she was ill. The way she would wheel those patients down for the entertainment, I thought she would live forever.
Betty and Ruth would come down with friends to the Red Top in Iron Bridge where Trish worked. Like any good restaurant there was always wine on the table, but Betty didn't drink so she was the designated driver, yes, at the age of ninety something!. She will be missed by many, our family will miss her at the Beemer Christmas dinners! Rest in Peace dear lady! Our prayers are with you Ruth.
